Renewal

"Turn away from your sins, and accept the good news."

The entire gospel can be summed up in the words of Jesus. "The time has come and the Kingdom of God is near. Turn away from your sins, and accept the Good News." The good news is that God loves us, and since he loves us, he invites us to a deep and lasting friendship with himself.

In 1974, the Synod of Bishops meeting in Rome had as its theme "The Evangelization of the Modern World." This theme stated that the Church herself must be evangelized by constant version and renewal in order to evangelize the world with credibility.

The Christ Renews His Parish retreat enables you to renew your faith and community with your Parish. In small groups, and a personal witness, we discuss and have activities that demonstrate our continuous renewal and the tranformation is has had on our lives.

Matthew 4:14-17

14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
15 "THE LAND OF ZEBULUN AND THE LAND OF NAPHTALI, BY THE WAY OF THE SEA, BEYOND THE JORDAN, GALILEE OF THE GENTILES–
16 THE PEOPLE WHO WERE SITTING IN DARKNESS SAW A GREAT LIGHT, AND THOSE WHO WERE SITTING IN THE LAND AND SHADOW OF DEATH, UPON THEM A LIGHT DAWNED."
17 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
